A Technical Artist is the key bridge between artists and engineers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Artist Lead to join our Metaverse Technical Art team, focusing on improving performance of all our interactive experiences. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to bring innovative experiences, features, and technology to life. Technical Artist - Performance, Metaverse Responsibilities
  • Drive technical art efforts in close partnership with product engineers to maintain high performance and visual quality in experiences.
  • Collaborating with artists, designers, and engineers to develop and implement efficient and high-quality real-time rendering techniques.
  • Optimizing and troubleshooting rendering issues on multiple platforms.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, educating the partners on the topics around performance.
  • Prototype, profile and optimize across platforms, Metaverse experiences & products.
  • Understand & drive a solution framework to deliver the best performant experience on multiple platforms including mobile & VR/MR.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in real-time rendering.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise at understanding inner workings of a real-time game engine, specifically graphics pipeline.
  • Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Experience shipping products in a professional environment with stringent runtime performance constraints.
  • Experience working on multiple platforms.
  • Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, producers, and artists.
  • Experience in real-time content authoring (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting).
  • Experience with a low-level programming languages, such as C++.
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills.

  • Consistently prioritizing and staying informed about emerging technologies.
  • Proven product thinking experience.
  • Proven adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Proven experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

$153,000/year to $212,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
