Meta is looking for a dynamic, flexible, team player to serve as Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA, on the Employment Law & Investigations team. This position will be based in Dublin or London but will be responsible for EMEA-wide employment law support.
Lead Counsel, Labor & Employment, EMEA Responsibilities
  • Providing strategic advice and counsel to our ER and HR teams across the region on a broad range of employee related issues including performance and disciplinary matters, reorganisations, internal investigations, future of work programs, compensation and benefits, corporate transactions, and employment policies and procedures
  • Drafting and revising employment related agreements and policies including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment related documents
  • Partnering with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters. Working on other region wide projects and initiatives
  • Support employment litigation as necessary
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment
  • Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction with strong academic credentials (Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree)
  • Experience with labor and employment law in EMEA including performance management, compliance and disciplinary procedures. Willingness to learn employment laws in new jurisdictions
  • Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and bring strategic and scalable solutions
  • Experience with coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects
  • Candidate must be collaborative, be able to move fast and learn quickly, and be solution oriented
  • Candidate must be willing to work extended hours when necessary to connect with colleagues from other regions
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-house experience preferred but not necessarily required
