Network Engineer, Automation & Tooling Responsibilities
  • Conceive, develop, and launch tools to support network deployment, maintenance, and scale of data center and edge infrastructure.
  • Conceptualize, build, and maintain tools to support network deployment and operation.
  • Proactively find gaps that impact multiple teams/organizations, come up with the execution plan and drive the project and influence other teams to reach there.
  • Develop automated methods to detect, mitigate and remediate network events.
  • Help make people around move quicker by identifying issues slowing the team down and driving changes to address them.
  • Lead/mentor other people - Work with other team members from partner teams, understand their challenges, help find a solution and enable them to write code to address it.
  • Help with recruiting and onboarding of new members to the team.
  • Help by mentoring and assuring quick ramp up within the environment.
  • Drive requirements with vendors and third parties to align internal tooling efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master's degree in Computer Networking, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, or a related field. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
  • Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
  • 1. Building software for network infrastructure
  • 2. Programming languages: Python, Perl, or C++
  • 3. Knowledge of Linux OS/networking and SQL databases
  • 4. Network devices (routers, switches, load balancers) and knowledge of network routing protocols
  • 5. Design and implementation of network operation system and debugging issues within custom code
  • 6. Technology-agnostic approach to engineering.

$197,991/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
