Meta's Enterprise Engineering (EE) department is seeking a highly motivated Application Manager with experience in harmonizing first-party and third-party environments to join our Enterprise Infrastructure & Security (EIS) organization. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing enterprise applications across the full lifecycle, from intake, rationalization, infrastructure deployment, and maintenance, to decommissioning. You’ll be accountable for driving prioritization, project development, and net-new investment decisions that scale Meta's enterprise. This unique role is embedded closely with multiple engineering teams, where you will be a key driver of piloting new technologies. You’ll be responsible for driving recommendations to executive leadership, ensuring cross-functional partnership and collaboration, and continuously improving the planning and execution process.
Application Manager Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers to enable informed decision making
  • Identify and mitigate risks, document issues, and escalate to vendor support as needed
  • Analyze complex issues and address configuration, implementation, and process failures
  • Lead business readiness activities, including end-user training, product testing, and roll-outs
  • Participate in source control and code review processes as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with key decision makers and Enterprise Engineering teams
  • Track key application metrics, drive insights, and build dashboards to measure results against goals
  • Provide subject matter expertise on enterprise platform integration processes and tools
  • Triage and disposition production support tickets effectively and efficiently
  • Support and configure multiple tools/applications
  • Influence enhancements and new projects to improve processes, products, and end-user experience
  • Understand application data models, draft SQL queries, and perform data analysis to fix underlying causes of bugs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years experience in Application Management, Solutions Architecture or equivalent, with demonstrated functional and technical experience
  • Domain expertise and experience in translating business objectives into technical solutions
  • Strong focus on quality and scalability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly synthesize large amounts of information into actionable plans
  • Experience leading without expressed authority and influencing decisions and outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to think multiple steps ahead and proactively address roadblocks, issues, and distractions
  • Proven track record of operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership
