We are seeking a dedicated Technical Artist to serve as a crucial link between our artistic and engineering teams. This role involves collaborating closely with a multifaceted, interconnected team dedicated to crafting engaging, first-party infrastructure, Generative AI techniques, systems, and tools for our platform aimed at shaping the metaverse.
Technical Artist, Metaverse Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to develop content across a range of devices.
  • Implement runtime logic within a complex real-time environment with performance limitations in mind.
  • Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads.
  • Design, manage and maintain the pipeline from artists and end users through to deployment.
  • Prototype, profile and optimize custom shaders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise with at least one of the following pipelines: Procedural Generation, Environments, or Asset Pipeline.
  • Experience with architecture for complex tools and pipelines with a focus on content creators.
  • 7+ years of experience developing real-time experiences.
  • Experience in shader languages (GLSL, ShaderLab, HLSL).
  • Experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.).
  • Expertise in at least one high-level programming language.
  • Experience driving strategy and communicating clear goals and outcomes to your team.
  • Expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including diagnosing and fixing bugs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of real-time graphics pipeline concepts.
  • Machine learning, and/or Generative AI workflows.
  • Low-level programming experience.

$153,000/year to $212,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
