Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to advance the state-of-the-art cloud-scale infrastructure. Meta's infrastructure is immense, both in its physical footprint and in the collection of products and services it supports. We are undergoing a fundamental transformation of this infrastructure—streamlining the developer experience, operating efficiently at rapidly increasing scale, and supporting the world’s leading AI workloads. This is one of the largest software engineering infrastructure projects Meta has ever undertaken, and as the Group Technical Program Manager leading the TPM team, you will be at the forefront of this transformation. In close partnership with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams, you will lead a high-performing team of TPMs. This team will identify technical problem statements, create technical roadmaps, scope programs to deliver technical outcomes that align with business priorities, and drive them to completion by aligning and leading large cross-functional teams.
Group Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a team of strong TPMs capable of scaling with Meta through a period of continued high-growth.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow the technical program management teams while fostering a strong, healthy, and productive team culture, where everyone feels valued, performs at their best, and has opportunities for growth.
  • Lead from the front–leveraging your technical depth to proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders, and build long term vision and nearer term execution plan.
  • Forge strong partnerships with technical and business leaders across the company, and ensure that team resource investments are aligned to company priorities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to structure and optimize an organization for execution, including attracting top-tier talent and quickly filling gaps in the existing team to accommodate growth.
  • Build and lead an organization with a customer focus and effective communication, emphasizing decisive, fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive conflict resolutions, and a ‘no barriers’ mentality.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • 5+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Experience in organizational coordination and establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners in different time zones.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Effective communication and partnership skills, with experience collaborating with technical teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
