Meta seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to join as a Case Manager on the eDiscovery & Information Governance Team in EMEA. As a Case Manager, you will partner with internal legal teams, outside counsel and operations teams to help advance and defend the company against legal proceedings. This position will be based full time in our London or Dublin office. This position plays a key role within the global litigation team and you will be looked to as a subject matter expert across a number of internal subject areas, where your expertise will be heavily relied upon by counsel to provide factual information, data and inform legal strategy for ongoing litigation matters. The work of the Case Manager contributes to Meta's ability to advance and defend the company.
eDiscovery Case Manager Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal litigation teams during the pre-claim investigation, and early case assessment phases, of active matters to advance knowledge and understanding of claim and ultimately inform legal strategy.
  • Proactively investigate, analyze, troubleshoot, and drive our most sensitive and complex litigation and pre-litigation matters to resolution in close conjunction with outside counsel teams.
  • Use proprietary tooling to preserve, search, sort, and organize large amounts of electronic data related to ongoing and threatened litigation.
  • Provide value-add impact to internal litigation teams, by proactively advancing investigations on behalf of litigation counsel, based on subject matter expertise and intimate knowledge of internal operational workflows.
  • Prepare high-quality, comprehensive case reports for internal and outside counsel.
  • Work autonomously to manage a large docket of matters simultaneously, for various litigation counsel across EMEA.
  • Assist litigation counsel with review and fact-checking of briefs and court submissions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including legal, operations, content moderation, local markets and policy teams to ensure comprehensive and high quality work product.
  • Assist with the development of multi-disciplinary structures, policies, procedures, processes and controls implemented to manage sensitive information at an enterprise level.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency internally, with a focus on utilizing technology to automate manual processes.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Meta's products, tools, systems and data.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS/LLB degree
  • 7+ years experience in a corporate, law firm, government, or eDiscovery vendor environment
  • Previous experience managing confidential information in a professional environment
  • Must be team oriented, articulate, proactive and calm under pressure
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM)
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Relativity and other eDiscovery tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management certification e.g. Prince2
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SQL, Python
