Reality Labs (RL) focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The compute performance and power efficiency requirements of Virtual and Augmented Reality require custom silicon. Reality Labs Silicon team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to enable humans. Our chips will enable AR & VR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistors, through architecture, firmware, and algorithms.
In this position you will manage and lead a team of diverse architects with expertise: power, performance, HW/SW/FW co-design, Design for Verification, engineers with expertise analyzing workloads in graphics, display, audio, computer vision and color imaging subsystems. You will collaborate with a world-class group of IP architects and execution engineers to architect subsystems that are SW usable, performant and power efficient.
Manager, RL Silicon Accelerators Subsystem Architecture Responsibilities
Manage a team of performance, power, and workload experts across graphics, display, audio, computer vision and color imaging subsystems.
Identify and manage appropriate comparative analysis to ensure the workloads are targeting state of the art.
Collaborate with diverse partners to deliver documentation and proof of concepts for workloads running on these subsystems.
Drive workload analysis for power and performance across the workloads of interest.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in running performance and power analysis and optimization and leading technically experienced teams in these areas.
Experience leading teams that partition solutions across hardware and software, evaluating trade-offs such as SW usability, latency, performance, power, and area.
Experience analyzing workloads in one or more of graphics, display, computer vision, audio, or color imaging.
Experience to collaborate and lead in a cross functional team environment.
10+ years of experience with Silicon Accelerators.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience analyzing interconnects and caching behaviors.
Knowledgeable in developing and utilizing telemetry solutions to analyze and profile workloads.
Experience with developing and/or using HW/SW emulation systems.
Experience to evaluate architectural tradeoffs in SW, performance, power and image quality.
Results oriented, self-motivated, proactive with demonstrated creative & critical thinking.
Creative thinking, with the experience to innovate across disciplines and workloads.
