Join the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world. We are seeking an experienced Optical Fabrication Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of optical fabrication processes and techniques to produce high-quality optical components.
Optical Fabrication Engineer Responsibilities
  • Design and develop optical fabrication processes and techniques to produce high-quality optical components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize fabrication processes and improve product performance.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality raw materials and components.
  • Participate in the development of new products and technologies, providing input on manufacturing feasibility and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Remain up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optical fabrication technology.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in optical fabrication.
  • Experience with optical materials, fabrication techniques, and process control.
  • Experience with process development, optimization, and validation.
  • Familiarity with quality control methods and statistical process control (SPC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

$204,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
