Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
  • Manage cross-functional infrastructure information technology programs in a matrix organization covering a range of areas.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure ontime delivery of technical hardware and/or software solutions.
  • Perform risk management and change management on projects.
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks assigned.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
  • Interface with the Engineering Team and external business owners for project requirements and scope.
  • Drive product decisions to align with high company initiatives.
  • Plan technical software and system hardware product requirements with internal teams and develop the project execution plan.
  • Oversee technical solutions and software development lifecycle end-to-end, project plans and ensure on-time delivery and provide hands on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
  • Write code and develop software tools, applications, and/or systems to support the company’s large-scale infrastructure, systems and operations.
  • Apply expertise in information technology and software engineering during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases of technical projects.
  • Gather business requirements from key stakeholders and convert them to technical requirements, managing prioritization with the engineering teams.
  • Work closely with Facebook's product, and engineering teams to define team needs, metrics, and key performance indicators.
  • Articulate the technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of the team.
  • Provide hands-on project management during all phases of the IT project lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases) with an emphasis on communication to project sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Complete root cause analysis of different workflows to quantify problems, goals, and identify priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and 12 months of work experience in job offered or in a business analyst or computer-related occupation.
  • Experience must include 6 months of experience in each of the following:
  • 1. Working with technical management teams
  • 2. Programming languages (Java, Python, C, C#, C++ or SQL)
  • 3. Operating systems (Linux or Unix)
  • 4. Product management or product design
  • 5. Technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications or media products
  • 6. Developing products, technologies, or platforms
  • 7. Working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team and influencing technical outcomes
  • 8. Delivering technical presentations
  • 9. Analyzing complex, large-scale data sets and making decisions based on data
  • 10. Gathering requirements across diverse areas and users and converting and developing them into a product solution
  • 11. Proactively identifying risks to project deliverables and supporting the team in development of mitigation plans.

$228,648/year to $265,540/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
