Meta is seeking to fill the position of Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of experienced Sourcing Managers responsible for developing and executing category strategies for Production services across all of Meta’s Marketing teams. You will work closely with a variety of teams including Marketing, Creative, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, FP&A, Contracts and Privacy and others as necessary. The candidate must be a self-starter and work with limited direction while taking full ownership of the areas of responsibility. The candidate will be expected to solve problems, recommend pragmatic alternatives and solutions, and exercise business judgment while performing their functions. The candidate possesses strong business acumen coupled with strong communication and influencing skills to effectively navigate complex decisions with leaders.

Strategic Sourcing Manager, Marketing Responsibilities
Lead sourcing category optimization initiatives to maximize Marketing ROI by managing comprehensive end-to-end value derived from supplier investments. Lead and develop a team of experienced sourcing category managers to build and execute sourcing strategies and workflows. Identify large-scale operational and financial problems/opportunities, then develop bold solutions that are scalable and support marketing and finance objectives. Generate and leverage data driven and/or external industry insights to deliver meaningful insights and surface solutions to drive efficiency. Lead functional and cross functional initiatives to develop strategic solutions that improve production operations and re-engineer processes to mitigate risk, be more efficient, and increase ROI. Partner with Marketing and internal Creative agency to build effective strategic relationships and workflows with external suppliers/agencies to drive results and influence business decisions aligned with business objectives. Influence key decisions in cross functional settings regularly. Proactively bring together decision makers and consultants with other experts on decisions / changes. Effectively lead and steer complex or sensitive cross functional forums. Foster team mindset to develop cross collaboration for long-term success.

Minimum Qualifications
10+ years Sourcing knowledge across Marketing services with emphasis on Production (including production industry guidelines and union regulations).
Experience partnering with Marketing and Production in driving planning and leading negotiations both with large global agencies and production companies as well as smaller boutique firms, then managing those relationships from a Sourcing perspective.
Proven experience navigating a complex matrixed organization and in managing, developing, and leading a team of experienced direct reports to keep the team engaged, learning, and motivated.
Experience managing transformational projects that require high-level change management and influencing with management.
Effective partnership and relationship building skills to understand stakeholders’ motivations and priorities in order to develop productive working relationships.
In-depth understanding of marketing operations, including systems and tools, and the agency landscape.
Create a safe regulatory environment by ensuring our contracts and suppliers we work with are in compliance with Meta’s data and privacy policies.
Bachelors’ degree in Business, Advertising, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Finance or Management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Producer and/or Production Consultant with understanding of the full production process across all media [live action video, digital websites and applications, print/OOH, animation and photography through localization, delivery and archiving. Experience working in a fast paced environment, thriving amidst ambiguity while ensuring excellence.
