As we scale our team, we're looking for teammates with a range of expertise in quantitative research methods. For this position, we are looking for experienced researchers with strong skills in behavioural data analysis, experimental and survey research, and statistics. The right candidates will be excellent communicators, knowledgeable about product development and design, curious about the relationship between technology and society, comfortable in a fast-moving organization, excited to collaborate, and passionate about understanding and helping people. You should be able to work with market research as comfortably as user research and be passionate about serving users from around the world. UX Researcher, Quantitative Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics.
  • Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products.
  • Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of quantitative methods, and interpret analysis through the lens of UX, HCI, and social science.
  • Design and execute studies that address both user behavior and attitudes, using the right methodology for the right questions.
  • Generate insights that shape how product teams think about medium and long-term product strategy.
  • Write, design, and distribute surveys, interpret response effects and navigate factors influencing response rates.
  • Leverage methodologies across market research and quantitative user research to forecast the likelihood of new ideas achieving product market fit.
  • Collaborate closely with qualitative and mixed methods researchers.
  • Partner with design, product management, data science, content strategy, engineering, marketing, and other technical roles to conduct and share research.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Several years of relevant experience in applied quantitative product research.
  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in human behavior related fields (Computer Science, HCI, Experimental Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, etc.).
  • Experience working with large-scale data in multi-method studies.
  • Experience in survey design, including structure, length, logic, question types, best practices, and response effects.
  • Experience coding with R, SQL, STATA, SPSS or equivalent.
  • Experience with applied statistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data to strategic narratives and implications for the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate results to cross-functional stakeholders with data storytelling and presentation slides.
  • Experience handling complex information and adapt to a changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with practical application of research skills in a business setting.
  • Experience with business products, business insights, or product development.
  • Experience developing tracking surveys.
  • Experience querying large behavioral datasets.
  • Experience with surveying rural and low income global populations.
  • Experience of working with census and market research data.
