Meta is looking for the highest calibre executive leader to manage Meta’s business operations across the UK. The leader will spearhead the company’s strategic relationships with senior business stakeholders and decision makers internally and externally. This position would be responsible for shaping and executing Meta’s UK go-to-market sales strategy, ensuring operational and commercial excellence, building key internal partnerships with Product and other functions, and leading key strategic initiatives for our advertisers. As such, they would be charged with building a highly effective, data-driven, operationally-rigorous sales organisation that is positioned to deliver efficient growth as the business scales at a rapid rate. The role reports to the Regional VP, Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa and will be based in our London office.
UK Country Director Responsibilities
  • Lead the UK business, deliver against aggressive targets while building excellent operational rigour, systems and build a high performance growth culture
  • Represent Meta UK externally across a diverse range of strategic interests and matters
  • Build and maintain long term strategic C-level relationships with our clients, partners, as well as other key decision makers
  • Drive the highest levels of client service through a culture of client centricity and ensure that our clients and partners trust Meta as their most trusted and valued business partner, particularly focusing on delivering business results for them
  • Develop, retain and motivate existing talent while continually raising the bar for performance, growth and capabilities.
  • Represent UK within the larger organisation and explain the country’s product or other needs globally
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience carrying revenue or P&L responsibility in high growth industry, preferably tech and track record on executing and over delivering against aggressive targets
  • Significant experience in technology or internet companies, deep understanding of consumer tech, media and marketing industry
  • Strong experience in sales and commercial operations
  • Strong business acumen and deep understanding of the market opportunities with the ability to create an inspiring vision and courage to make data-driven decisions and execute them for impact
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills with ability to learn complex technical topics, products and solutions and adapt business strategies accordingly
  • Stellar execution skills (bias for action), systems thinking, ability to context switch within data/product/eng environments, flexibility and situational leadership in a fast changing environment
  • Proven track record of building, growing and maintaining high performing teams, developing strong team culture and experiences in leading experienced teams
  • Great people leadership skills, inclusive leadership values and diverse team building capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, as this position will lead cross-functional/ matrixed teams by influence, while directly managing the business teams
  • Relevant experience in the UK, preferably in a Country/Regional Director/CEO role but broader experience is a plus
  • Solid communication skills with fluency in English
