Operations Program Manager, RL Product Operations Responsibilities
  • Own all Operational aspects of a product launch ensuring the cost, quality, schedule, and availability goals are met.
  • Engage with the Product Management, Development, and Supply Chain teams early in the program definition phase to develop productization plans, influence features, drive manufacturability/repairability, cost, schedule, and risk decisions.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Program Managers to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Product Requirement Documents (PRD) to enable successful architecture and design locks for Program Development Phase (PDP) timeline.
  • Manage overall product ramp and factory readiness, and address key issues and present options for resolution to the cross-functional leadership team through the new product reviews and other executive forums.
  • Apply technical expertise to drive engineering and the supply chain team to meet program targets at a product and commodity level for the project.
  • Influence key design and architecture decisions in order to meet the Operational targets and key KPIs.
  • Challenge the hardware teams at a technical level to run Design of Experiments (DOEs) to enable manufacturability and cost-down efforts from a technology standpoint.
  • Actively participate in engineering design discussions and steer solutions to align with market fit and expectations while hitting aggressive cost targets.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics or related field and four years of experience in the job offered or in an industrial design-related occupation.
  • Requires four years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Lead Operations’ teams in developing and launching new programs, leveraging the Product Development Process (PDP) and Phase Gate Reviews
  • 2. Partner with Product Management through Product Discovery and Concept phases to establish Product Requirements, key performance indicators, program schedules and cost targets
  • 3. Actively participate in new technology development and hardware design discussions in order to steer solutions that align with market fit/expectations while hitting program targets
  • 4. Liaison across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure product cost, manufacturability, reliability, product safety compliance and go-to-market strategies are met
  • 5. Own the costs of our products, including bill-of-material, capital and manufacturing costs
  • 6. Set cost targets and manage risks and opportunities with engineering, operations and finance teams
  • 7. Partner with our sourcing teams to strategize our devices’ supply chain, establish the Supplier Plan of Records and manage the health of our BOMs to ensure material availability in support of launch
  • 8. Define and own production ramp plans and inventory commitments to ensure successful product launches, collaborating with demand and supply planning, product marketing, sales, and logistics teams
  • 9. NPI, manufacturing and supply chain for consumer products.

$244,416/year to $265,540/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
