The Business Marketing Group (BMG) connects businesses with their customers on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger to help them grow their businesses through solutions like pages, advertising, messaging, commerce and more. We're seeking a leader for the Business Marketing Insights team who can harness and translate strategic insights into actionable marketing plans while creating strong cross-functional partnerships with marketing, product, policy and comms. This role will help enable the growth of the org, support marketing/product strategy development, optimize marketing performance, refine audience approaches, and ultimately create more value for advertisers around the world.
The ideal candidate is a marketing research expert, with exceptional research skills across both qual and quant methodologies, proven hands-on experience as a practitioner and leader, a hunger to drive significant business impact/outcomes, an orientation toward strategic thinking, and deep knowledge of B2B marketing and advertising solutions. Strong writing and communication skills are critical, alongside expertise growing/nurturing teams. Candidates must be comfortable and effective working with teams around the world.
This role will require travel up to 20% of the time.
Director, Business Marketing Insights Responsibilities
Harness comprehensive, best-in-class quant and qual research solutions to identify core audience truths and translate them into actionable insights and executions
Partner with marketing, comms and product organizations to understand customer needs and product use cases, define product positioning, develop audience understanding, and shape marketing strategies
Help BMG programs achieve success against their business objectives while maximizing impact, efficiency and customer value
operate as a full-stack partner across planning, execution, and measurement/optimization to maximize the ROI of our investments
Communicate effectively and strategically with stakeholders at all levels of the business to inform decision-making and drive alignment
Hire and develop an effective team of marketing researchers
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years experience leading marketing or product research teams, executional knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods and their applications in a business/advertising context
Expertise leading insights-driven marketing campaigns/product launches from definition to execution, shaping strategy, driving alignment/decision-making, and delivering business outcomes
Depth knowledge of Large Advertiser, Agency and Small Business audiences and how to engage them effectively
Problem-solving and experience to quickly move from blank state to well-defined problem and a suitable approach
Seen as a leader: communication skills and a track record of creating alignment/clarity among disparate stakeholders and ambiguous contexts
Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, drive change, and collaborate effectively with a variety of partners
Management skills to create an empowered and effective team with opportunities for impact, growth and development
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience in Business Marketing, with depth knowledge on how to build/implement effective and scalable marketing programs targeting B2B audiences – including Large Advertisers/Agencies, small businesses and enterprise customers
International experience across APAC, EMEA or LATAM
