We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to lead our team of hardware systems engineers in the development of innovative mixed reality devices. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for driving the development of complex hardware systems, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and are integrated effectively into the overall product from concept to mass production. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure that hardware systems meet the required specifications and are integrated effectively into the overall product. As a technical leader, you will work collaboratively with experts in different fields across electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, display, optics, industrial design to make architectural tradeoffs and drive the development of innovative MR devices. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to the hardware systems engineering team, helping to develop their skills and expertise, and implement technical strategies and roadmaps, aligning with the overall goals and objectives of Meta Reality Labs. You should have a solid background in hardware systems and integration, with a demonstrated ability to drive technical projects forward and ensure their successful delivery. They should be able to hold themselves and others accountable for meeting project goals and timelines, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to build consensus across organizations and drive cross-functional leadership.
