Meta Reality Labs (RL) is seeking a seasoned manager to join the Content organization. As a Developer Strategy Lead, you and your team will build and manage strategic partnerships across top tier, third-party developers building for Meta Quest. You and your team will support developers in the Start program 1:1 driving growth, creating scaled ROI-positive strategies, and driving satisfaction in innovative ways. You will serve as a consultative product expert and lead as the core expert for build and publishing planning, strategy and measurement. You will collaborate across internal cross-functional partners to support the org’s strategic priorities, drive data decisioning, and provide actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong gaming or industry knowledge, experience working with digital creators and experience working within fast-paced, innovation programs and experience managing teams of strategic partner managers. You will enjoy helping developers succeed and have a desire to push existing boundaries to build new innovative solutions for XR developers. You will be knowledgeable about and enjoy understanding customer needs and uncovering the behaviors and motivations that drive the choices our developers have to make. With problem solving skills, you will be able to contribute unique ideas and work collaboratively with our cross functional partners, to design, build and test solutions for our top developers. You will lead cross functional partners in brainstorming and innovation exercises, working as a team to identify unique opportunities to grow our business. Success in this position requires excellent project management, innovation and strategy skills, experience working with XR developers 1:1 and outsourced vendors and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast changing environment. We are looking for someone who is skilled at creating inclusive spaces when solving hard problems, recognizing diverse perspectives, and designing and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in early-stage tech industries. This role requires influencing executive leadership.
Developer Strategy Lead - Start Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team driving strategy and execution to create a thriving 3P developer ecosystem for Meta Quest
  • Serve as strategic partner to top tier, third-party developers fostering platform affinity
  • Serve as platform advisor guiding developers to build higher quality content and drive developer success
  • Drive and measure developer engagement and performance metrics identifying optimization opportunities for improving portfolio KPIs
  • Use data and insights to guide strategy and implementation of developer relations approach to sourcing and supporting top tier developers
  • Outline and oversee measurement strategy, tracking and results delivery of portfolio
  • Oversee internal account operations (e.g. troubleshooting issues, account set up, etc.) on behalf of developers
  • Be customer, product and vendor champion with new product and program launches
  • Make data-informed decisions to drive team performance, resource allocation and manage competing priorities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build and deliver the best-in-class solutions for third-party developers
  • Identify opportunities to improve developer products and the developer experience and influence action
  • Work effectively in a collaborative environment
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience translating insights and data into highly impactful results
  • Experience leading cross-functional efforts across competing priorities and constrained resources
  • Proven communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience building developer relations teams
  • Expertise in digital goods publishing or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of digital business models and technology
  • Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience developing strong working relationships inside and outside Meta
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience meeting multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment autonomously

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
