We’re looking for a VP of Data Science to lead the Monetization Data Science organizations for Signal Growth (“SG”) and Responsibility & Privacy (“R&P”). Signal Growth and Responsibility & Privacy are both Monetization Priorities and SG in particular is one of the biggest growth levers for Monetization and ultimately a company priority to ensure the continuity and strength of our core business in spite of global constraints. R&P is essential in ensuring that we are deploying solutions to meet evolving regulatory requirements while continuing to protect Meta’s core businesses. These organizations and priorities require close collaboration and partnership not only across all Monetization initiatives but also cross-Meta wide. Data Science plays a critical role in ensuring that the right strategies are being deployed that supports protecting Meta against future headwinds and growing revenue. The VP will lead an org of 160 Data Scientists and partner closely with sister DS teams across the various monetization initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced, thoughtful and action-oriented leader of leaders who along with their organization is upleveling the product, business and organization by asking the most important questions, holding a high quality bar, leading with data, influencing with persuasive storytelling, and is a masterful change agent and strategist.
VP of Data Science - Monetization Signal Growth & Privacy Responsibilities
  • Inspire, lead, grow, and drive high levels of performance from an organization of data scientists.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership across Signal Growth and Responsibility & Privacy products and business functions as well as fellow Monetization Analytics and Meta Analytics Leadership to build and strengthen a data-driven culture where high quality, independent, data-informed insights are driving all key decisions across our functions.
  • Lead development and communication of product area insights and recommended action items with Meta executive leadership teams, and Meta Analytics leadership.
  • Establish and nurture strong cross functional relationships to be most effective in accomplishing all the above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of work experience managing analytics teams, working collaboratively with Product and Business teams, and guiding data-influenced product and business planning, prioritization, strategy, and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining, growing, scaling and strategically optimizing diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing DS teams.
  • Proven experience influencing strategy and driving change with senior executives across org boundaries through clear and compelling communication of data-driven insights and analyses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with both product and business analytics work and demonstrated interest to deliver an integrated approach.

$463,000/year to $487,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
