On Meta’s Developer Platform, our mission is to build a secure, easy-to-use platform that creates value for businesses, developers, and teams at Meta. Our team manages cross-Meta third-party (3P) developer experiences and first-party (1P) developer compliance, supporting 500K 3Ps. This work enables billions of dollars in revenue and involves overseeing 6,000+ APIs across Meta's Family of Apps, many with user data and privacy implications. Our work in this space is crucial for ensuring Meta's compliance with diverse global regulatory requirements and proactively addressing emerging challenges. Meta Technical Program Management (TPM) Leaders work with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, data scientists and researchers to build platforms for developers. We are seeking a People Manager to lead a TPM team on building developer platforms and experiences to help create a valuable and secure ecosystem that developers use to build community and grow their business across Meta.
Manager, Technical Program Management - Developer Platform Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Technical Program Managers (TPM) through the ideation, technical development, and launch of cutting-edge products.
  • Attract, build, manage, and develop a skilled, diverse, equitable, and inclusive team of TPMs.
  • Establish a unified vision across the company by fostering alignment on priorities that drive product execution.
  • Identify complex problems requiring resolution and promote a compelling long-term technical vision to achieve business success.
  • Anticipate risks and issues in advance whenever possible, and take a proactive approach by delving into the details, working directly, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to mitigate and resolve challenges.
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where processes are fluid, and creative solutions are the norm.
  • Manage cross-functional programs within a matrix organization, spanning multiple areas.
  • Drive the adoption of technologies across various components of the product and/or infrastructure technical stack, while strategically advancing current technology to the next level in an effective and efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in recruiting, managing, and developing both individual contributors and leadership teams.
  • Experience in leading cross-organizational programs, setting timelines, and holding teams accountable for deliverables.
  • Experience in communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship-building and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in understanding product requirements and converting them into actionable plans.
  • Experience in critical thinking and analytical leadership.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with API design principles, RESTful APIs, software development kits (SDKs), developer tools, and best practices for API privacy and security.
  • Experience in meeting complex regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
