The Generative AI landscape is evolving quickly, especially for content creation. Entirely new paradigms are being invented, and Meta is investing significantly into leading the industry. There are advancements at Meta and across the industry, and we want to ensure we are thinking deeply about the impact these advancements could have on immersive & interactive content, especially for games, across the Metaverse. You will be working as a leader within the Meta Metaverse Content leadership team to help map out a GenAI strategy for games. Your mission will be to look across multiple platforms and envision a broader future for what we could do in our 1P studios, our 2P and 3P relationships, and the broader game industry. The emphasis will be on Horizon, with support across VR, MR, and AR, but may also include non-Meta platforms such as Mobile and PC. This is an IC role that could eventually lead to building out a team, but to start would work across Reality Labs and company leadership to formulate a vision and strategy for how to build the next generation of content through Generative AI. The role will define two major work streams. The first relates to creators and developers that are building content. We believe we can dramatically improve workflow and time-to-market by accelerating content creation and are open to creating new tools or partnering with external creators and vendors. The innovation in this space could have a dramatic effect on the ecosystem as it should increase efficiency and allow considerably more content to be created. The second workstream is to research, prototype and define new consumer experiences where entirely new types of gameplay could be created, such as games that are non-deterministic, personalized, and change every time you play them. This is a nascent area but has the potential to create new experiences that are not even possible to exist today.
Emerging Tech (GenAI) Responsibilities
  • Define and drive Meta’s Gen AI strategy for content creation and games as an Individual Contributor.
  • Manage an R&D budget to accomplish multiple experimental work streams that help define the future.
  • Collaborate and communicate across multiple functions within Meta.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the interactive game industry, working with developers on innovative, theoretical projects.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a larger company setting.
  • Proven experience delivering a strategic vision for the future.
  • P&L owner for a business unit that has operated at scale.
  • Experience overseeing multiple studios and large teams working on high quality projects.
