ASIC Engineer, Architecture Responsibilities
- Work with AI/ML experts in the company to architect state-of-the art machine learning accelerators for the most computationally intensive workloads running on Meta’s data centers.
- Analyze and implement algorithms on hardware accelerators, develop functional and performance models of the architecture and conduct extensive functional and performance analysis using these models.
- Define test plans to validate the architecture, develop functional tests based on the plan and collaborate with the design verification team to drive the test plan to closure.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure that the ASIC meets its area, frequency and power goals, and help debug, root-cause and resolve functional failures in the design.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Requires 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Requires 24 months of experience involving the following:
- 1. Experience and knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts such as microprocessor architecture, memory systems and on-chip interconnection networks
- 2. Programming in industry-standard language such as C/C++ or SystemC
- 3. Software development practices including knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, data structures and mapping complex algorithms to software
- 4. Knowledge of scripting using Python, Perl or similar scripting language for automation
- 5. Knowledge of the architecture, design, modeling and performance analysis of various silicon subsystems such as memory subsystem including caches, SIMT pipelines used in GPUs etc. and
- 6. Familiarity with design and architecture of domain specific accelerators.

$208,936/year to $234,520/year + bonus + equity + benefits
