The Wearables Systems & Technologies Technical Program Manager will be part of one of the most exciting product lines in the industry - Meta’s AI and Augmented Reality devices. Building on the strong momentum of the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, this role will focus on expanding the portfolio of AI and AR wearable products in the future. We are looking for leaders to lead complex cross-functional business outcomes for our current and future products, ranging across software systems, software development infrastructure, novel software technologies such as AI, developer ecosystems, and customer focused product experiences. This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with strong technical skills and business acumen, skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. We look for technical program managers who care deeply about the products they work on, who are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical program management for device consumer products and will have demonstrated experience leading large initiatives across multiple product, software and hardware teams.
Technical Program Manager - Wearables Systems & Technologies (Tech Leadership) Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of cross-functional products and initiatives spanning software, hardware, core technologies, and business groups to ensure the product’s success.
  • Solve complex technical, organizational, and operational problems spanning the breadth of the Wearables portfolio.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end technical product solutions and ensure on-time delivery, owning programs execution in a matrix organization.
  • Drive and influence technical and product strategy, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, align on priorities, and set direction for a broadly cross-functional area.
  • Identify and drive software development processes improvements at scale.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware development for consumer devices and product development processes.
  • Experience delivering complex technology programs and/or products from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and scope definition.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadership.
  • Experience in defining and improving engineering processes at scale.
  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving with large-scale systems.
  • Experience in establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and with partners in different time zones.
  • Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact amongst products, platforms, and programs.
  • Experience communicating at the executive level and influencing leadership and technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Augmented Reality products and technologies.
  • Experience in operating systems and embedded software development.
  • Experience in AI/ML products and technologies.

$195,000/year to $267,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
