Technical Program Managers (TPMs) operate at the intersection of technical execution and business strategy, partnering closely with Engineering, Product, and a variety of cross-functional teams to bring products to market. We are seeking a talented Technical Program Manager who will play a key role in defining MR software roadmaps, leading cross-functional teams in building complex software, and managing MR product launches.
This role holds a highly impactful and critical leadership position, responsible for defining and operationalizing execution strategies across product groups. The TPM will collaborate with engineering and product teams to set strategy and goals, manage all phases of the development cycle, plan requirements, manage schedules, identify and track risks, and proactively communicate with project stakeholders. Software Technical Program Manager Responsibilities
Develop software roadmaps based on product and technical requirements and business needs.
Lead cross-functional teams in implementing the roadmap from early development stages through to launch.
Lead launch and release activities as it pertains to software features and deliverables.
Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features.
Collaborate with teams to establish milestones, communicate project status updates, and proactively identify and address potential setbacks.
Develop best practices and product development processes in a rapidly changing environment, and advocate for their adoption to enable scalability across diverse products.
Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications and test plans.
Collaborate with user research and dogfooding teams to coordinate user feedback and enhance the user experience.
Ensure that project documents are complete, up-to-date, and readily available for review by staff and leadership.
Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager managing software programs from inception to production.
Experience developing and managing software roadmaps for complex consumer products.
Knowledge of software development processes, SDLC, and best practices.
Proficiency in building relationships and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience understanding, decomposing, and translating product requirements into plans.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience launching global consumer products to millions of consumers.
Technical knowledge in areas such as Mixed Reality, User Experience Design, and the Android operating system.
Technical knowledge in low-latency, high-performance software stacks.
