As the System Wearables Teams, we are focused on connecting our world together through Augmented Reality devices. In this role, you will partner closely with Program Management, BSP, Computer Vision, and other software teams to architect, design, and deliver our next AR product and platforms which will enable higher level software experiences to be developed. Software Engineering Manager - AR Product Responsibilities
  • Build and lead teams to deliver firmware and software for world-class embedded products
  • Collaborate across program management, computer vision, hardware, and product teams to define system architectures enabling next generation AR devices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team members and your project peers
  • Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams
  • Deliver the product-level system and platform enabling higher level software experience development
  • Drive customer experience, collaborating across the full technology stack, continually raising the bar on functionality, quality, usability, and simplicity
  • Build software development processes that allow for rapid development and experimentation while maintaining a high quality product
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field Technical leadership experience in C/C++ development targeting ARM processors and SoCs
  • 2+ years managing the technical development of firmware/software and 5+ years of experience of software development for consumer products
  • Prior work experience leading a product through the complete Firmware/Software life cycle, consisting of architecture, development, test, productization, bug fixes and deployment
  • Experience shipping a consumer device with embedded software
  • Experience with processes enabling delivery of quality products to end customers meeting requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant hands-on coding experience with embedded software and familiarity with Android and RTOS
  • Experience operating as a program manager defining requirements for a consumer device
  • Experience in real-time processing for computer vision and user interaction tasks, high-compute/throughput systems and using simulation and modeling technique to estimate performance and power
  • Experience with Continuous Integration
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment strategies enabling rapid development and quality

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
