The Augmented Reality AI Org at Meta is seeking a strong technical leader to join our team and work on the next generation of AI Experiences on smart devices. As a technical leader in the team, you will play a critical role in building the core AI tech powering the experiences on Meta's Smart Glasses, AR Glasses and Quest devices. We have the opportunity to build the next computing platform powered by the latest and greatest AI technologies. This year we launched the Multimodal AI Assistant on Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, and we are working on making it a truly human-like Assistant that can see what you see and hear what you hear, helping users get things done in the most ubiquitous way.
Software Engineering Manager, AR AI Responsibilities
  • Support and grow a team of AI and CV experts
  • Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
  • Drive execution of developing models and systems that are crucial to the end user experience
  • Present the team's work and plans in cross-company executive forums
  • Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with xfn partners and peer teams to facilitate large-scale projects
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience and track of record in landing large product impacts in a fast-paced environment, 5+ years of hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and/or multimodal modeling, and shipping large-scale AI solutions to end users
  • 3+ years of hands on supporting and leading teams of AI/ML engineers
  • Experience in developing large-scale AI services
  • Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and their practical applications in multimodal systems
  • Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of multi-modal modeling, NLP and computer vision

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
