We are looking for a seasoned and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of 2nd Party Optical Retail Channel Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the expansion of our retail presence in EL's Global O&O stores, enhancing performance in existing stores, and developing new wholesale channels. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth and innovation in the retail industry. As the Director of 2nd Party Optical Retail Channel Development, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and operational excellence in our Key Partner's O&O stores. You will lead a team that is focused on expanding retail presence, improving in-store performance, and managing partner enablement programs. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading global brand and contribute to the growth of our smart glasses business.
Director, 2nd Party Optical Retail Channel Development Responsibilities
  • Identify assortment gaps and develop plans to increase coverage.
  • Monitor inventory and manage out-of-stocks.
  • Drive demo teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Analyze store-level performance to identify trends and best practices.
  • Develop in-store velocity improvement programs.
  • Create store audit programs.
  • Fund incentive programs.
  • Incorporate partner marketing insights to inform Meta marketing spend.
  • Develop plans for channel marketing budgets and MDF programs.
  • Ensure training assets and dashboards are developed and deployed.
  • Partner to develop awareness/training roadshows.
  • Manage Wholesale Subsidy program.
  • Design and implement Opex programs that drive performance.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop individual contributors (ICs).
  • Foster talent growth through succession planning and development programs.
  • Ensure effective team structure and resource allocation.
  • Establish cross-functional partnerships to drive business objectives.
  • Align with internal stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with retail partner executives.
  • Communicate business objectives and progress to partner leadership.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and guidance.
  • Develop strategic engagement plans to drive joint growth.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in channel sales and marketing management
  • 10+ years in a senior sales or channel/trade marketing, partner enablement role with a demonstrated record of success in technology and/or optical based consumer sales
  • 5+ years of consumer sales leadership and people management experience
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and operational excellence in retail environments.
  • Proven advocate for innovation and the opportunities presented by disruptive technologies
  • Background in Optical Retail
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting data and making informed decisions
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills, with experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the eyewear industry

$232,000/year to $296,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
