UX Researcher Responsibilities
  • Design studies that address user behavior and attitudes related to technology and products.
  • Work with product teams to identify research topics and generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
  • Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods through the lens of user experience, human-computer interaction, and information science.
  • Oversee and design the user experience component to generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct applied product research, and/or focus on directly relevant research topics, to understand users’ behaviors, motivations and attitudes on using the products.
  • Perform data analysis and utilize understanding of qualitative and quantitative concepts to communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.
  • Review existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research.
  • Analyze user behavior data through a variety of channels, such as statistics, user testing, semi-formal interviews, observation, surveys, A/B testing and log analysis.
  • Assess the user-interface or usability characteristics of Meta products for improvements.
  • Design objects, studies, and environments to optimize human well-being and overall system performance, applying theory, principles, and data regarding the relationship between humans and computer technology.
  • Work closely with product, design, engineering and business teams to identify research topics.
  • Work cross functionally and collaborate with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing teams to complete research projects and ensure research results impact product.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Cognitive/Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Information Science, Cognitive Human Factors or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a UX Researcher-related occupation.
  • Position requires two years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Designing research to answer questions about the user experience
  • 2. Qualitative and behavioral analysis
  • 3. Information science, UX design and human factors
  • 4. User experience
  • 5. Research settings or product research and development
  • 6. Hands-on primary research
  • 7. Translating research findings into strategic narratives
  • 8. AR/VR technologies.

$198,132/year to $221,540/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
