Manager, Hardware Engineering Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement novel metrology tools and electrical equipment for display components, subsystems, and systems.
  • Manage a small team of optical scientists and electrical engineers to drive team direction for development of Optical Metrology from proof-of-concept to implementation into manufacturing.
  • Develop strategic planning for test strategy, mapping program needs to metrology test owner development plans from components to display systems.
  • Work with component and system design engineers to determine Critical to Quality (CTQ) metrics and Key Parameters of Interest (KPI) for each measurement station.
  • Drive internal proof of concept and establish diversified industry partnerships with contract manufacturers for Optical Metrology test stations.
  • Work with optical scientists, electrical engineers, and cross-functional team members to execute on the above including methods, procedures, and data management.
  • Design and develop optical test systems for electrical components and displays.
  • Work with hardware and software for tool interface, data collection, and analysis to develop custom optical and electrical systems for Metrology deployment.
  • Responsible for early stages of product development and closing the loop on designs through testing and validation.
  • Collaborate with broad cross functional groups, including product design, manufacturing operations, supply chain, product technical managers to ensure that the solutions are timely, fit well into the product schedule and cost targets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Optical Science, or a related field and three years of work experience in job offered or hardware development or computer-related occupation.
  • Requires three years of experience in the following:
  • 1.Designing and developing optical test systems for components and displays
  • 2.Engineering management experience
  • 3.Developing custom optical systems for Metrology deployment
  • 4.Hardware and software for tool interface, data collection, and analysis
  • 5.Working with/across multidisciplinary teams including Electrical Engineers, Opto-Mechanical Engineers, and Optical Engineers.

$289,786/year to $325,270/year + bonus + equity + benefits
