Meta seeks a highly skilled and experienced Stakeholder Engagement Manager to join our Content Policy Stakeholder Engagement team. As a Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with external stakeholders in the APAC region and globally, with a focus on informing and engaging around our content policies. This involves working closely with NGOs, academics, and other thought leaders to bring global knowledge and feedback into the policy development process. The ideal candidate for this role will be a skilled professional who can think strategically, adapt quickly, work independently, and function in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. They should be able to analyze complex information and develop effective engagement strategies. Intellectual curiosity is also highly valued in this position. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.
Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Policy Development Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to support the development of content policies that reflect the needs and concerns of diverse communities around the world.
  • Identify, cultivate, and establish partnerships and opportunities with key external stakeholders for engagement to develop content policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including civil society organizations, academics, and industry experts in critical content policy areas and seek opportunities to develop collaborative partnerships with them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Meta to ensure stakeholder feedback is incorporated into policy development processes.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in stakeholder sentiment, providing insights to inform policy development decisions.
  • Create and deliver presentations and other communication materials to articulate policy positions effectively to external audiences.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Trust and Safety Policy team to improve our policies based on external expertise and input.
  • Help field policy questions on high-priority escalations, exercising critical thinking and excellent judgment under time pressure.
  • Represent the company at external events, conferences, and other external policy engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in policy, political science, international relations, law, business, human rights, information sciences, journalism, communication, program management or a related field.
  • 8 - 10+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, public policy, or a related field
  • Creative problem-solving, analytical thinking, negotiation, and multi-tasking skills in time-sensitive settings.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating nuanced concepts and policy positions to various audiences.
  • Experience in leading the design and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Experience in engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent advanced degree in policy, political science, international relations, law, business, human rights, information sciences, journalism, communication or a related field.
  • Fluency in an APAC local or regional language.
  • Previous roles in civil society, academia, social media platforms, internet companies, technology-focused government departments or think tanks.
