Our team seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead development and delivery with a focus on the entire Smart Glasses system. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver new cutting-edge technologies and product innovations to market. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. You will define and drive highly complex, cross-functional plans for new product introductions. You will also lead build planning and execution, including establishing requirements & build goals, managing schedules, and identifying / tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of program & build status and risk to key stakeholders and executive leadership. You will partner closely with US-based TPMs, Operations Program Managers, Hardware Engineering, APAC HW engineering team and Operation teams in Asia. We look for technical program managers who have a strong technical foundation and are natural motivators, cross-functional relationship builders, and champions for driving the right level of process and effective communications to ensure smooth and predictable program execution in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and innovative environment. This role will be based in Shenzhen office, though site locations will vary based on program activities.
Technical Program Manager, APAC System HW TPM, Meta Wearables Responsibilities
  • Manage and host build activities from prototype through NPI phases in collaboration with the engineering and operations teams
  • Frequent coordination with suppliers (foreign and domestic) to enforce development schedules, quality and manufacturing processes required during product development (Proto, EVT, and DVT)
  • Drive program schedules, builds, and DOEs at FATP and SMT sites to support early development investigations and NPI builds
  • Contribute to product development process and best practices for factory management
  • Effectively communicate build statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, drive escalations and actions to address build blockers or critical issues, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
  • Interface directly with XFN teams including engineering, process, test, supply chain, quality, and factory teams to drive development releases, DFMs, readiness, build execution, reliability, production and shipment
  • Travel within Mainland China, with some travel to Asia Pacific region and US.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline, physics, or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is required
  • Experience and understanding requirements and development flow of building consumer electronics products
  • 5+ years experience as an engineering / technical program manager managing hardware programs from concept to mass production
  • Hands-on engineering program management experience driving system and module level development as an individual contributor (especially in Mainland China)
  • Experience working with CM/JDM/ODM suppliers or key component vendors
  • Problem-solving and organizational experience and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in first party product development, defining requirements and program constraints, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in building 0-to-1 product at both JDM and CM vendor engagement models
  • Experience with consumer electronics products, wearable products
