Meta is seeking a Music Publishing Business Development Manager who is passionate about the changing music ecosystem, technology and supporting our goal of connecting people through social media, the mobile ecosystem and business strategy. This role will contribute to Meta's strategy and negotiations with music publishers, licensing hubs, and societies for Latin America and other global regions, as well as collaborate with our Product and Partnerships teams to ensure a coordinated and best-in-class licensing structure. This is a full-time position.
Music Publishing Business Development Manager Responsibilities
  • Contribute to music publishing licensing strategy and negotiations with rights holders representing in various regions, including Latin America
  • Partner with Meta Product and Partnerships teams to ensure a comprehensive music strategy that supports our efforts to connect the global community across Meta platforms
  • Represent Meta in meetings with music industry executives at rightsholder companies
  • Be a source of insights on the music ecosystem and partner cross-functionally with other Meta teammates
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience working in business development, music partner relationship management, or a digital music negotiation equivalent function
  • BA/BS degree
  • Fluent in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in deal making and music licensing for global organizations
  • Experience in commercial leadership with business development and operational experience with technology companies
  • Experience in digital music negotiation for musical compositions
  • Music industry experience, including knowledge of web and mobile technologies impact on content distribution both in Latin America and globally
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment
  • Scrappy, resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact
  • Strategic experience and strong communication skills

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
