We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated international Indirect Tax Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing indirect tax compliance and reporting, and advising on indirect transactional tax planning opportunities across multiple taxes and jurisdictions. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing multinational company and play a key role in shaping its tax strategy. The successful candidate needs to have tax technical experience, and a proven record of working in a fast-paced environment in relevant industries. The candidate is expected to have industry background and strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow between Product and Project business teams. This resource will work closely with members of US and International Tax teams, Engineering and the broader Finance organization. The individual must be a self-starter, fast learner and capable of working through ambiguity. The candidate will be expected to anticipate and surface issues, solve problems, recommend solutions and establish new processes.
International Indirect Tax Manager, Americas Responsibilities
  • Build and strengthen working relationships and scale with the growth of business teams to ensure integration with business functions, bring tax awareness and champion tax requirements
  • Enable indirect tax operations at scale, including managing tax compliance, such as setting up new rules and processes, analysis, preparation and filing of informational reporting returns, payment of taxes, and maintenance of accurate records for multiple jurisdictions in the Americas
  • Manage relationships and engagement with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities Support indirect tax planning for business expansion in the Americas region, providing all required tax supporting, including coordinating and working with external advisors
  • Work with finance and accounting teams to implement and improve end-to-end tax processes and procedures to mitigate risks and / or scale effectively. Enjoys and thrives working with and in a cross-functional team
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in tax (e.g. VAT/GST, tax information reporting, business integration/support) related field or industry
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, with the experience to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with eCommerce, retail, consumer electronics, digital advertising and other tech industries
  • Proven analytical skills, flexible, creative and results oriented
  • Effective sense of ownership and accountability
  • Tax technology experience

$142,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
