Join our team as the Director of Accounting, where you will lead the charge in our Corporate Accounting function, overseeing Global Intercompany, Foreign Exchange, and Legal Entity Management. Director of Accounting Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee Meta’s intricate intercompany accounting areas, ensuring a deep understanding of the impact of transactions on US GAAP, management, statutory, and tax reporting. This includes overseeing internal cost sharing, allocations, invoice processing, settlement, eliminations, reconciliation, and resolution of aged balances.
  • In close partnership with the Treasury, understand the strategies for monitoring and analyzing Foreign Exchange market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to identify potential risks and opportunities. Execute FX transactions, and account for FX gains and losses in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Oversee the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of legal entities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide strategic guidance on legal entity structure and governance and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Transform the existing processes using cutting-edge technology and implement other comprehensive strategies (e.g. shared services) to optimize, increase efficiency, reduce risk and enhance overall performance in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of eight accounting professionals across regions providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on intercompany and foreign exchange areas
  • Proven track record of scaling operations and driving process improvements
  • 10+ years people management experience including managing remotely across regions, proven track record of attracting, scaling and developing teams
  • Experience communicating effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as Oracle and Quantum
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent preferred

$216,000/year to $288,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
