Decision Scientist Responsibilities
  • Partner with our marketing teams to make well-informed decisions backed by product usage data and product perception data (survey based).
  • Develop quantitative analysis, tools, ad hoc reports, and models to support marketing decision making.
  • Analysis areas might include (but not limited to): retention, sentiment, lifetime value, messaging, promotions, usage, and engagement.
  • Produce data visualization and automated solution to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Translate data insights into actions and recommendations that will drive brand sentiment, user growth and engagement, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Partner with marketing, research, and product organizations to scope, design, execute, measure, and improve the impact of our marketing efforts on the world and on our business.
  • Empathize with Meta's users' attitudes, emotions, and opinions to promote product awareness and meaningful interactions on the platform.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a quantitative field.
  • Experience must include 6 years of experience in the following:
  • 1. Statistical modeling and data analysis experience (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, sampling theory, etc.),
  • 2. Experience using Python or R for statistical modeling,
  • 3. Experience with SQL, Hive, Presto, Hadoop, or other data querying languages,
  • 4. Experience communicating with cross-functional stakeholders including brand strategists, marketing researchers, product marketing managers, and engineers,
  • 5. Experience writing production code for automated models,
  • 6. Experience developing data pipelines deployed in a production environment,
  • 7. Experience in building models using techniques such as machine learning, clustering, neural networks or forecasting.

$195,000/year to $235,400/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
