Meta is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join its Communications team in Israel for a 12 months STE contract, based in our Tel Aviv offices. You will have extensive experience in developing and executing high-profile communications campaigns tailored to various audiences, using social-first tactics, managing day-to-day media relations and handling complex issues. You will be hands-on and lead proactive and reactive communications from strategy to execution for the Meta family of apps in Israel. You will be collaborative: someone adept at understanding competing interests, an ability to navigate across teams, and work towards developing shared goals. Also a Strategist, able to think through complicated reputational challenges including brand - short and long term. Meta has billions of users globally so an ability to operate and think internationally is crucial. This role requires excellent communication and writing skills in Hebrew and in English, as well as the ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously. Strong organizational and management skills are both key to success in this role.
Communications Manager, Israel - STE 12-Month Contract Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute Meta’s Israel PR strategy, plans and programs based on reputational needs and company plans and metrics
  • Work cross-functionally with numerous teams, locally and globally, to manage media opportunities, social first elements and broader programs
  • Create campaigning platforms to proactively address Meta’s brand reputation and technologies challenges specific to Israel
  • Manage policy related press issues for the country, working closely with Policy Comms team in EMEA and Policy team in Israel to tackle issues and build proactive communications moments that advance the company’s position e.g. responding to reporters, drafting statements, correcting inaccuracies etc.
  • Identify and pitch ‘good news’ stories about Meta and its technologies to deliver a steady pipeline of proactive coverage in Israel
  • Provide comms counsel and support for business leaders in Israel and in Meta in general
  • Prepare briefing materials and manage executive spokespeople during media interviews and events
  • Manage own social platforms: Facebook page, Linkedin, podcasts
  • Manage an external agency
Minimum Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Hebrew and in English
  • Significant experience in managing external communications, corporate issues and project management
  • Experience executing media campaigns, crisis management, building relationships with media and working with executives
  • Experience managing agencies and contractors, and putting in place scalable processes to drive and measure results
  • Strong existing relationships and contacts with Israeli media
  • Team player with exceptional project management and decision-making skills
  • Experience working with, influencing and presenting to executive level stakeholders (VP & C-level)
  • Excellent collaborator, practiced at influencing others, and good at bringing larger groups along to execute complex cross-team projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in a fast paced business or in tech
  • In house communications experience
