We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to join our FAIR Program Manager team, a group at the forefront of advancing artificial intelligence through strategic initiatives and innovative research projects. In this role, you will be pivotal in orchestrating a variety of programmatic efforts designed to amplify the impact and efficiency of our research teams. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for defining project goals, crafting detailed project plans, and overseeing the execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery. Your efforts will enhance our operational efficiency, foster stronger relationships within and across teams, promote knowledge sharing, and expand our organizational capabilities. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, able to facilitate our teams' best work by managing short- and long-term projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. This role requires project and program management experience, broad knowledge of artificial intelligence, research, and product development, and the ability to foster collaboration across various teams. Excellent communication skills, a talent for managing complex logistics, and an organized, systematic approach are essential to thrive in this position.
Program Manager, AI Responsibilities
  • Manage projects that improve team efficiency and impact, establishing operational systems and outcomes
  • Define project goals and objectives in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Manage project timelines and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Identify and partner with stakeholders on internal processes, templates, and guidelines to improve team optimization and documentation
  • Provide frequent program updates to partners and stakeholders, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Coordinate with teams to facilitate collaboration, identify and address roadblocks, and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Assist in finding resources and escalating concerns to appropriate owners when necessary
  • Help resolve open issues that prevent progress and keep projects on track
  • Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a project or program manager
  • Experience building relationships with peers and senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Experience communicating with data to drive change
  • Track record of operating independently and taking initiative, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
  • Experience being successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and experience identifying problems and proactively work towards solutions

$129,000/year to $185,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
