Offensive Security Engineer Responsibilities
  • Identify, build, and configure systems to protect infrastructure.
  • Work with members of IT, Operations, and Security teams to harden the infrastructure against attack, ensuring Meta operates in a secure environment.
  • Develop security software tools to aggregate and monitor network security threats and issues.
  • Build scalable, distributed security solutions for creating detection signals.
  • Build robust systems or frameworks to reliably facilitate detection of adversarial events in extremely large host and network ecosystems.
  • Consult on new infrastructure projects or architecture changes and evaluate security needs as well as support the security operations team by designing and implementing infrastructure to aid incident response efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and one year of work experience in the job offered or in an engineering-related occupation.
  • Requires 12 months of experience in the following:
  • 1. Building tooling to automate and drive assessments
  • 2. Designing, scoping projects to accomplish pre-stated objectives
  • 3. Searching for gaps in Software implementation and design, including proactively identifying vulnerabilities
  • 4. Analyzing C/C++ code implementations for vulnerabilities and design flaws
  • 5. Knowledge of containers and low level/kernel debugging and
  • 6. Knowledge of server (Linux, Windows) and client (Windows, OS X, Linux) operating systems.

$183,593/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
