The mission of Business Messaging is to be the primary way that people and businesses communicate by enabling valuable conversations between people and businesses across WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger. Meta Business Messaging is a fast-growing business enabling 1 billion people to message with businesses each week using WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct. Meta seeks a b2b solutions go-to-market strategist and storyteller extraordinaire to join our business messaging marketing team. This person should meld a creative and analytical mindset with an understanding of how to solve business problems with technology and expertise around bringing b2b tech to market. This person should be adept at cross-functional collaboration to package products into client-centric solutions and drive them with relevant audiences in market. This will require reconciling disparate threads across business segments and breaking down silos to drive success for one of Meta’s foremost priorities: business messaging. This role lives at the intersection of product marketing, outbound/channel marketing, and sales enablement. This role will help drive global go-to-market strategy, solution and narrative development, goaling, prioritization, and packaging for business messaging products across the Meta family of apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook). Cross-functional leadership, executive communications skills, ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and comfort with ambiguity are musts. This role must understand our products and their buying audiences and compose solutions that meet the needs of business and their customers, then articulate the value of these solutions to the market and drive related GTM. You will be expected to either have or develop knowledge of our buying audiences (from small/micro businesses to large businesses) and their business problems related to customer engagement. You will be expected to have or develop knowledge of customer journeys across verticals. You will be expected to develop knowledge of business messaging products (ads, APIs, and tools). Direct experience bringing products of varying maturity to market is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have analytics and research experience, experience with and strong opinions on customer engagement, and a vision for how we can better meet the needs of our customers.
Portfolio Marketing Manager, Business Messaging Responsibilities
  • Develop business messaging solutions by bringing together the right products to solve customer problems
  • Craft narratives to explain Business Messaging products & solutions to internal and external partners and clients
  • Contribute to global go-to-market planning for business messaging solutions with internal stakeholders
  • Guide and partner with cross-functional teams (both global and regional) in developing sales collateral and marketing content
  • Understand our buying audiences (businesses of all types) and their needs as well as how to best reach and influence them
  • Conduct market research and internal data analysis to find opportunities to expand Meta’s market share across geographies and verticals
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with 2+ years in marketing
  • Track record of collaborating with cross-functional/cross-org teams to drive results
  • Experience simplifying complex concepts and communicate effectively with different audiences (e.g. product, sales, executives, customers)
  • Experience contributing at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Project and program management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA degree
  • Knowledgeable about business messaging or customer engagement/experience generally
  • Data analytics skills
  • Experience marketing to SMB and/or Enterprise audiences
  • Experience working in product/solutions marketing

$150,000/year to $211,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
