Meta seeks a highly motivated attorney who is enthusiastic about technology and its potential to connect businesses and people to join our Monetization Legal Team. The role will be drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including to support our Business Messaging products, services and strategic partnerships. You will also advise clients on the various legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to commercial transactions and general operations. The role will work closely with other subject matter experts within the legal department and will require significant cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across Meta. Associate General Counsel, Monetization (Business Messaging) Responsibilities
  • Contract drafting, negotiation and advisory responsibilities for Meta's (and other subsidiaries’) Business Messaging sales, partnership and business development teams
  • Provide legal and strategic business advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to our relationships with key partners and the commercial aspects of our key products and programs
  • Commercial transaction support for other departments as required
  • Administration and resolution of legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise in existing commercial relationships
  • Willingness and ability to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary to complete projects
Minimum Qualifications
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
  • 8+ years of relevant technology transactions experience, working with internet, mobile or other technology companies, either in-house and/or at a law firm
  • Technology deal experience (technology licensing, product development, platform integrations, etc.)
  • Drafting and negotiating experience along with strategic thinking
  • Experience managing and organizing projects simultaneously under deadline pressure with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in-house at a technology company
  • Experience working with enterprise tools, developer platforms, messaging services or other Internet technologies

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
