This position will involve building and leveraging strong relationships between Reality Labs and local Retail Partners, supporting the Meta hardware vision. ( retailers covered and product lines considered may be changing over time based on needs ) We are seeking a highly analytical and organized individual to join our team as a Strategic Account Manager, reporting to the Head of Retail APAC (based in Tokyo). In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing a sales and channel marketing strategy at the customer level, aligned with the overall organizational goals. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across internal cross-functional partners - including Category Management, Product Management, Business Development, Data Science, Channel Marketing, and Sales Operations. The ideal candidate should be customer-focused, driven to make Meta “our retail partner’s best partner", and thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. This role requires the candidate to be located in Meta RL Sydney office a minimum of three days a week and remote for no more than two days per week. This role requires the ability to travel to meet key partners face to face on a weekly basis, and also includes some international travelling.
Meta Reality Labs, Strategic Account Manager, Australia (Sydney) Responsibilities
  • Define and manage an annual business plan, quarterly business review with Retail Partners for key activities to be carried out for the business period
  • Plan all new product launches in collaboration with marketing and business operations, deliver clear and concise communication and plan to partners to identify and develop business opportunities
  • Executing business and marketing budgets required to achieve KPIs/objectives
  • Support quarterly MDF allocation and reconciliation process
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets
  • Demonstrating value to internal and external partners by sharing expertise on product features
  • Ensuring forecast accuracy goals are met and identifies risks against internal demand plan to organization
  • Work closely with Operations to implement a CPFR process with retail and distributor partners
  • Ability to communicate and present business needs and plans to internal/external stakeholders and develop executive relationships with key account stakeholders
  • Review Sell In/Out data to identify new opportunities within existing product ranges
  • Publishing weekly business reporting and sales reviews
  • Continually seek to improve the online and interactive experiences by researching and staying abreast of new and innovative solutions and capabilities, key competitor actions, industry trends and emerging customer and market needs
  • Collaborate and provide retail expertise to other Meta teams
  • Understanding and communicating differences and advantages of Meta RL products relative to competition
  • Identifying market share ranking at partner and sharing any risks with the organization
  • Traveling to strategic events and customer meetings as required, including internationally
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development for retail accounts
  • 4+ years experience managing CE Retailers as covered account
  • Knowledge of Consumer Electronic market, industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape
  • Experience managing workload within timeframes
  • Negotiation and communication experience in retail & distribution agreements
  • Proven track record in delivery of sales quotas against business plans
  • BA/BS in Business or Marketing related field or similar work experience
  • Understanding of In-Store Visual Merchandising, Stock Merchandising, and retail Digital Marketing strategies
  • Ability to read and understand Partner Scorecard Metrics identifying opportunities to improve where necessary
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft and all Google work applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA/Master in Management
  • Prior experience negotiating annual partner contracts and agreements
  • Experience driving partner online sales through paid search and display
  • Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and less-structured environments
  • Prior experience working in Virtual, Augmented Reality, Gaming space or good knowledge of related industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape
