Meta seeks an AMET Policy Programs Manager to cover Africa, Middle East, and Türkiye for a 14-month contract. As part of Meta's AMET Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team designs and executes regional campaigns and programs, leveraging Meta's platforms to promote positive social, economic, and cultural outcomes and support a conducive policy environment for the digital economy.
As the Policy Programs Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing regional programs that leverage the extraordinary reach of Meta's platforms to promote positive social, economic, and cultural outcomes, while supporting an enabling policy environment for the digital economy.
We are seeking a candidate to launch and manage integrity programs across Africa, the Middle East, and Türkiye, with responsibility for leading Türkiye's programs strategy and driving innovation initiatives. This role entails collaboration with research centers, innovation organizations, developers, and creators. You will also lead programs and campaigns addressing integrity-related topics such as content integrity, fraud and scams.
You must have an understanding of the policy challenges that an organisation such as Meta faces in the region, a passion for community building and future technology, and an ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced, impact oriented, work environment.
Policy Programs Manager, Africa, Middle East and Turkey (STE - 14 months) Responsibilities
Manage and execute integrity programs and campaigns across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye, focusing on content integrity, online safety, fraud, and scams in partnership with local NGOs, social enterprises, academia, policy stakeholders, and other local entities.
Manage and execute Innovation and AI programs and campaigns in Türkiye, encompassing research, skills development training, hackathons, and grant programs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for programs in Türkiye, guiding strategy, directing efforts and overseeing partners' output.
Design and develop programs supporting Meta's objectives, identifying relevant partners for program development and delivery.
Build relationships and coordinate internal and external cross-functional groups to drive the priorities and for effective program planning and execution.
Foster meaningful partnerships with integrity and safety policy influencers and organizations across the region.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working on programs and campaigns, engaging the external ecosystem on the value of technology
Experience aligned to innovation and integrity
Experience managing multiple tasks and multiple teams under tight timelines, shifting priorities, and acting proactively
Experience in social and economic impact, with integrity, creativity, and critical thinking
Organisation skills, and experience in implementing and managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Experience in thinking, planning, and executing resourcefully and creatively
Frequent and extensive travel across the region
Experience delivering communications and presenting to internal stakeholders and external partners

Knowledge and previous experience in the AMET region
