Meta is looking for a program manager/analyst to work on our Global Industry Intelligence program within the Global Industry Marketing team. This person will play a critical role in identifying, interpreting, and reporting on the most important trends at the intersection of technology, advertising, business, policy, and politics. They will partner with the rest of the Industry Intelligence team to produce prescient and competitive analysis that allows Meta’s leadership to act early on emerging opportunities and risks. This role will require to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams; brief executives; develop a robust approach to project management, content, and work with internal stakeholders. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining industry and internal cross-functional relationships, as well as traveling to global industry events for field reporting and intelligence gathering.
Program Manager and Analyst, Industry Marketing Responsibilities
  • Analyze competitor activity/strategy, as well as relevant developments in the advertising industry, the tech industry, and global politics, by attending global industry events, interacting with industry leaders, staying on top of industry news, interviewing experts, etc.
  • Lead production on industry insight reports covering a wide range of issues like GenAI, privacy, brand safety, open-source AI development, business impact of geopolitical developments, the creator economy, etc
  • Advise and deliver briefings to executives, identifying business and policy risks, informing company-wide business planning
  • Create insights foundation for Meta’s industry engagement and marketing strategies, contribute to events programming and thought leadership
  • Identify ways to more effectively deliver insights to leadership and guide product roadmaps
  • Develop strategic and project management plans to grow and scale the industry intelligence program
  • Manage agency scope to deliver and maintain the industry intelligence program
  • Support the wider Industry Marketing team on thought leadership and partnership programs, where needed
  • Strategic thinking skills to operationalize and grow the industry intelligence program
  • Creative thinker familiar with critical perspectives on tech and marketing industries
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience in politics, journalism, business, technology or advertising industry
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following ares—the advertising industry, AI and the developer community, or tech policy—and willingness to learn the other two
  • Analytical skills think critically and structurally
  • Effective communication skills
  • Research experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting information
  • Avid news reader with a proven interest in business, technology, marketing, and/or policy trends
  • BA degree in International Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, Political Science, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field
  • The ideal candidate should be naturally curious, a quick learner, and a critical, cross-disciplinary thinker, with experience of at least one of the following: the advertising industry, AI and the developer community, or tech policy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in marketing industry and/or tech industry
  • Experience working with and briefing executives
  • Experience leading content development for executive narratives and events
  • Prior program management experience
  • Prior strong editorial experience

$122,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
