Meta Reality Labs (RL) is seeking a Developer Ecosystem Growth Strategy Manager for the Quest platform. As a member of the Quest Developer Ecosystem Team, you’ll help 3rd-party developers adopt the core system frameworks and APIs underlying the platform experience on Quest devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow and support developers while directly impacting the quality of apps and Horizon worlds enjoyed by Quest users. You are a growth strategy expert with deep professional experience leading a team of developer advocates and growth-focused program managers. In this position, you will run scaled programs in markets, targeted at developers with a view to channel the highest value developers to become Quest developers. You will be responsible for recruiting, activating and growing developer cohorts. You possess a passion for immersive technologies and have experience building developer ecosystems. You have experience working with complex data from defining desired metrics to parsing through large, ambiguous data sets to perform analysis. You have strong communication and people skills, since you’ll be presenting in public, collaborating cross-functionally within RL, and working side by side with developers every day.
Developer Ecosystem Growth Strategy Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of developer advocates inspiring, educating and activating early stage Quest developers
  • Build and launch programs designed to activate developers building on the Quest platform - aligned to growth initiatives for all verticals globally in region
  • Responsible for leading global developer contests, hackathons and other scaled funded initiatives
  • Build and nurture a robust developer pipeline, collect valuable product feedback, and champion regional developer needs internally
  • Formulate and mobilize high-growth strategic partnerships that deliver innovative and transformative programs, with a particular focus on differentiated best in class solutions
  • Serve as a thought leader externally and internally, providing guidance on best practices, industry trends and future potential to developers at scale
  • Define regional strategy on types of developers we will be focusing on based on regional sensitivities and vertical needs
  • Engage with developers by speaking at and attending relevant conferences, meet-ups and events
  • Educate developers on our platform through communication channels in partnership with Product Marketing
  • Build badging system to support a strong funnel of program members and successful developers on the platform
  • Work directly with 3rd-party developers to develop full stack apps and games, encouraging and helping them to use Quest technologies.
  • Lead hands-on programming workshops and labs to assist developers with the adoption of specific Quest technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience working with digital creators, game developers, partner management or digital marketing programs
  • 5+ years leading teams of like skills in similar industry
  • Fundamental understanding of modern app development and optimization.
  • Proven experience in program development, growth management or related roles, with a track record of launching and scaling 0 to 1 initiatives
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to run and measure growth-focused program effectiveness with relevant KPIs
  • Experience translating insights and data into highly impactful results
  • Experience leading cross-functional efforts across competing priorities and constrained resources
  • Track record of working with and influencing Product Management roadmap and execution
  • Track record of working with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to define, scope and develop new measurement data points required for understanding and driving program development
  • Proven communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful, action-orientated with experience to get things done independently and overcome obstacles by developing creative solutions to problems
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of XR technologies and familiarity with the Quest platform
  • Experience working closely with VR, MR or AR developer communities
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the aptitude to develop strong working relationships inside and outside Meta

$186,000/year to $253,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
