The Business Integrity and Platform Operations team at Facebook aims to design and build best-in-class scalable solutions that empower businesses to create trusted connections with communities. Our vision is to create value by connecting people with new opportunities from trustworthy businesses.
We partner closely with several cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Data Science, to ensure high quality and safe experiences for both people and businesses across the Facebook family of apps. We are a global team made up of diverse people living in different regions and countries, but yet working together as one team to solve issues that have global impact and scale.
How exactly does the Business Integrity and Platform Operations team work as a global team? We got together with three Business Integrity leaders who are based in Austin, Singapore, and London to give some insight.

Suba Vasudevan, Director of Business Integrity & Platform Operations
“I had been working at Facebook for a year, back in 2013, when the opportunity to join the Business Integrity team came up. Much later, I also took on the role of leading the combined Business Integrity and Platform Operations team. It’s been super exciting to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of keeping people safe on our platforms.
Social media has brought the world closer together, and it’s more important than ever that our platforms—Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, and more—are kept safe and secure so that people and businesses can confidently interact over different channels, products, and services.
What keeps me at Facebook are the amazingly smart and talented people, and the complexity of the problems we solve. There’s never a dull moment, and I’m constantly learning. Everyone that I’ve hired or met on my team has taught me something new, and I love that about my job! Every problem that we’ve met as a team teaches us resilience, agility, and pushes our need for out-of-the-box thinking.
We’re looking for passionate, energetic, and creative thinkers. We are always looking for people who can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team. We’re
hiring for multiple roles that require diverse skills and expertise ranging from generic to highly technical. In all of these positions, we’re looking for agile individuals who can adopt an out-of-the-box approach to problem solving. There’s never a better time than now to join Facebook’s Business Integrity and Platform Operations team and build a world where every person has a sense of purpose and community!”
Abigail Rappoport is the Director of Enterprise Operations at Facebook
Abigail Rappoport, Director, Enterprise Operations
“I’ve spent my career working across tech, global programs and transformative initiatives. I also formerly was the CEO of a start-up as well as a senior director at Microsoft.
When Facebook’s offer came along, as you can imagine, I didn’t take long to say yes to the opportunity as I was so excited to be part of this global team, work and learn from intelligent and diverse individuals as well as take on the challenge of continuing to build ways to break the mold of traditional support and operations within a consumer company.
I have been working at Facebook for two years now and I globally lead our Enterprise Support Operations business. Suffice to say that a lot has happened in this time—it’s amazing to see how fast things move here at Facebook. It has been an incredible time to be a part of the
Enterprise Operations team—the last few years have seen phenomenal growth and results and things are about to get even more phenomenal, if that’s even possible!
Everything that we do is focused around customer retention, growth, and advocacy. Everything that we do needs to be serving these purposes. We have an opportunity to write Facebook’s history book because our top priority is building Facebook’s enterprise muscle. This is now filtering its way through,
particularly through Workplace.
What this means is that we’ve been tasked to do something that is actually quite hard, which is to build an enterprise business within a consumer company. We’re making great progress and we’ve only just started! We’re getting visibility, investment, and monetizing support which is a first for Facebook, and just one of the reasons why it’s a great time to be part of this diverse global team.”
Arup Angle is Facebook’s Director of Developer Operations and Global Support Engineering
Arup Angle, Director, Developer Operations and Global Support Engineering
“I’ve always enjoyed working on integrity and trust in the tech space, and I’m passionate about protecting people from threats that they may experience on the internet. Facebook is one of the few companies that truly believes in putting people at the heart of their existence over revenue and profits.
I’ve spent most of my career working in technology, across analytics, consulting, trust and safety, and even had a stint as an entrepreneur. When Facebook’s offer came along, I was excited by the opportunity to work for a company that makes such a big difference to communities and businesses that use its platforms, lead global teams solving critical problems, and learn from smart and diverse people.
Facebook is such a dynamic workplace, and there have been so many stand-out moments since the day I joined. I have had opportunities to lead working groups on election integrity, to set up new analytics functions from scratch as well as to lead large teams working to solve problems on developer integrity and support, privacy, and improving customer experience. To be given some of these responsibilities early on—and then to see the impact of your work landing—is massively fulfilling.
One thing that most people may not know about the Business Integrity and Platform Operations team is how diverse we are, both in terms of our work, and our people. A team that is more diverse has fewer blind spots and leverages that strength to drive towards better solutions and outcomes.
In addition to leading the Global Developer Operations & Support Engineering teams, I also serve as the APAC site leader for our broader Global Operations organization. It has been a fulfilling experience to help build and develop in region teams—we've doubled in size in less than two years—mentor emerging leaders and bring different Global Ops as well as Facebook teams together to solve challenges unique to the region.”
