The Global ODM Operations team within the Global Supply Chain Operations (GSCO) group is responsible for teaming with our supply chain partners to build, deliver, and enable Meta’s AI, Compute and Storage infrastructure. Meta’s computing foundation is its Data Centers, and key strategic partnerships with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) across the Compute and Storage industry are a crucial piece in building and operationalizing this infrastructure. The Global ODM Operations team is responsible for managing the operational performance of these ODM partners by setting key metrics, ensuring operational success and driving performance improvement programs across Meta’s supply chain, and is ultimately responsible for manufacturing operations and on-time-delivery of the hardware. This requires a dynamic approach to work to unlock challenges on the tactical (ex. supply), strategic (ex. Supply chain strategy), and foundational (ex. process overhaul) levels for Inventory Partners, ODMs, and Meta. The team is inherently dynamic, requiring coordination across engineering, NPI, mass production, and sustaining teams all within a given cycle. Put simply: this team is composed of problem solvers who build relationships both within- and beyond- Meta to achieve industry-leading performance and pave the way for Meta’s AI-enabled infrastructure.
We are seeking an Operations Engineer to join our team, responsible for leveraging scientific and mathematical methods to analyze and improve the manufacturing and delivery operations of our hardware supply chain. The candidate will have a background in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and experience in applying technical expertise to drive operational excellence.
Operations Engineer Responsibilities
Stochastic Modelling and Simulation:
(a) Develop and apply stochastic models to simulate complex manufacturing systems, including production capacity, throughput, and material flow
(b) Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, optimize production planning, and improve overall system performance.
(c) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate model assumptions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Optimization and Algorithms:
(a) Design and implement optimization algorithms in partnership with suppliers to solve complex problems in manufacturing operations and Infra hardware delivery & logistics
(b) Analyze and optimize supply chain operations including capacity planning, production scheduling, reverse logistics, inventory management, material management and transportation routing
(c) Continuously monitor and refine optimization solutions to ensure they remain effective and aligned with changing business needs.
Supply Chain Systems:
