Our Global Culinary organization is composed of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. Our mission is to nourish people through culture, responsibility and hospitality. Meta is seeking a results-oriented Director of Global Culinary Operations. This role will lead Culinary café operations and programs for all of Meta’s global offices, including full service cafes, specialty concepts and micro kitchens. Responsibilities include but are not limited to day-to-day operations, oversight of cafe design standards, financial management of opex/capex budgets and leading a talented and dynamic culinary team.
Director of Global Culinary Operations Responsibilities
  • Leading a global organization comprised of chefs and programmatic teams
  • Developing trusted relationships across Meta to ensure that the culinary program is aligned with company level objectives
  • Overseeing a robust vendor partner model globally
  • Developing global culinary standards for cafes, concepts and micro kitchens
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement such as, wait time, customer satisfaction and budget management
  • Conducting benchmarking of culinary programs against peer companies both from a service and cost perspective
  • Staying connected to what is happening in the industry, ensuring that Meta is adopting innovative best practices
  • Building KPIs and OKRs in support of Meta’s mission and creating a business scorecard that displays performance transparently
  • Partnering with business analytics teams to collect relevant culinary data for internal/external consumption
  • Implementing scalable process improvements including food safety standards that allow teams to operate more efficiently across global locations
  • Building a scalable operation that can be flexed up and down as Meta’s business adjusts
  • Creating a DE&I-focused vision for the Culinary organization, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered across the decision making framework
  • Conducting global site visits to ensure operations up to standard
  • Leads a global team in driving effective supplier management and product procurement, with a focus on reducing costs and improving quality
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in leading globally diverse teams in the food and beverage industry
  • Corporate experience and experience in a large commercial environment will be considered including restaurants, hotels, stadiums, and cruise lines
  • Proven understanding of food/beverage procurement and logistics practices at scale
  • Experience managing large numbers of locations simultaneously, including international locations
  • Experience leading and developing other leaders
  • Experience managing large commercial operators (i.e. Sodexo, Compass and Aramark)
  • Experience developing and implementing goals and strategies based on company level objectives
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience managing large opex and capital budgets
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive decisions
  • Proven customer service and communication skills

$262,000/year to $307,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
