TPMs work at the intersection between technical execution and business strategy and are expected to partner closely with Business, Engineering and Product teams. Being a TPM at Meta means driving impact by delivering measurable results across a wide range of areas. You'll be responsible for defining and guiding high-level goals and roadmaps and monitoring and communicating progress, and defining functional requirements for new products and features. It also means having a deep technical background, understanding system architecture, and the experience to effectively collaborate across functions and organization to deliver impact. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to manage key strategic programs and handle unique problems in data Privacy space. Our Privacy TPM team tackles some of the most complex problems within Enterprise Engineering organization in the areas of regulatory, compliance and privacy and the work we do in this space is extremely critical for Meta to stay compliant with various regulatory requirements across the globe.
Technical Program Manager, Privacy and Compliance Responsibilities
  • Drive alignments among program teams to efficiently deliver on shared goals.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders within Privacy domains to define program requirements, set priorities, and defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are partnering with
  • Translate privacy, legal, and compliance requirements into product features and technical implementation plans.
  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Define and track key metrics and performance indicators and drive cross-functional execution of program deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.
  • Influence product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements and automation solutions across multiple teams and functions to increase efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Organizational coordination experience and experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with data governance or privacy tooling team
  • Privacy related industry certifications such as CIPP or past experience implementing tooling to support major regulations like GDPR and EPD
  • Experience with large offline datasets and data storage systems

$134,000/year to $196,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
