As a QA Engineering Manager for MR (Developer and Pro Platform), you will be responsible for leading a team of QA Leads who are dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and platforms for Meta Reality Labs' VR/MR product lines. Your focus will be on Developer and Enterprise solutions. The team is responsible for developing and implementing the product quality strategy and plans across multiple products and platforms. The QA leads in the team are responsible for monitoring and improving the ongoing quality of our products, debugging issues across various hardware and software stacks, including consumer electronics devices, mobile apps, and web. They have a deep understanding of current issues and use this knowledge to build heat maps and bug burn-downs, as well as track and report detailed metrics for key stakeholders. This information is used to make go/no-go decisions per milestone. The ideal candidate for this role is a QA Engineering Manager with strong communication skills and a background as a detail-oriented QA engineer. They should have experience in consumer device product and enterprise testing, as well as a passion for building high-quality hardware and software products. The candidate should also have a deep understanding of various testing techniques and the ability to think outside the box to develop new methods. Your team will play a critical role in ensuring that RL products released delight our customers.
QA Engineering Manager Responsibilities
  • Build a test-driven engineering and development culture that drives improvements in quality
  • Recruit and lead technical talent, be both highly technical and an effective people manager
  • Identify key quality metrics and report on them regularly to keep stakeholders informed on the current quality of the product
  • Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level
  • Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple product lines
  • Work along-side hardware and software engineers, program managers and QA to triage issues and help the engineering teams make informed go/no-go decisions
  • Partner with Automation and Infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalability and reliability
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years experience leading QA activities for consumer electronics devices
  • 5+ years of experience building and managing technical teams, including performance management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience directing contingent workers

$190,000/year to $263,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
