Software Engineer, Android Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for user interfaces, infrastructure, and/or tools supporting applications.
  • Work closely with infra team to build new coding extension on vsCode for C# and C++.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope and implement custom native user interfaces using the latest language programming techniques.
  • Receiving general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments, build reusable software components for interfacing with back-end platforms.
  • Resolve a variety of issues by analyzing and optimizing workflow and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
  • Work on developing and improving the C# and C++ extensions for Visual Studio, which are built on the Roslyn language server.
  • Focus on enhancing the language performance for engineers by implementing features such as indexing, formatting, error identification, and compilation and execution.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
  • 1. C, C++, C#, or Java
  • 2. Python, PHP, or Haskell
  • 3. Relational databases and SQL
  • 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
  • 5. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
  • 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • 7. Building highly-scalable performant solutions
  • 8. Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, computer graphics, or human-computer interaction
  • 9. Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems
  • 10. Distributed systems.

$203,466/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
