We see Messaging is playing a critical role in the commerce ecosystem and we expect the market of Messaging Commerce will continue to grow rapidly, a recent study says it will reach 290B$ GMV by 2025. We are looking for a seasoned engineering manager who is passionate about building 0-1 products and experiences to help millions of businesses connect with customers throughout the commerce life cycle, and fuel the next billion-dollar business for Facebook Inc. This individual is expected to lead and support a team of highly talented high performing Software Engineers, define and execute long term strategies in the area of Conversion Experiences.
Software Engineering Manager, Business Messaging Commerce Responsibilities
  • Be an effective people manager to a team of high performing engineers
  • Effectively scale the team by attracting and mentoring extraordinary people at various levels of experience to grow a well-balanced, high performing team.
  • Empower and demonstrate the open Facebook engineering culture.
  • Successfully work in a cross-functional partnership with other leaders across Facebook.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in leading software engineering teams
  • Experience in recruiting engineering talent and building out high-performing teams.
  • Experience in translating technical concepts into language for audiences, including software engineers, business and technical leaders.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Commerce space
